The brasserie version of the 21st century
Under the Canopée, a new kind of brasserie is being cultivated.
Resolutely contemporary.
Do you know Cigüe? It is a collective of architects, now based in Montreuil, founded in 2003 by Camille Bénard, Hugo Haas, Guillem Renard and Alphonse Sarthout when they were still students at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris - La Villette. They have already worked for Alain Ducassse (he entrusted them with the Comptoir de la Manufacture de Chocolat, rue Saint-Benoit) and are designing Champeaux. We recognize their style: a great attention to light, the use of raw materials and a structuring of the space that respects the freedom of visitors.
Totally welcoming.
Solo or duo, personal or professional, everyone is welcome. You can sit at the bar, at a table or in one of the comfortable armchairs near the large bay window to admire the Nelson Mendela Garden and, in the background, the magnificently renovated Bourse de Commerce. In the summer, the terrace is the number one option. Any time is good for a bite to eat or a real meal, a drink or a nice cocktail. In short, it’s relaxed, it’s delicious, and you feel good.
Furiously tasty.
The menu cleverly mixes the good old references of the brasserie cuisine such as onion soup and veal blanquette with lively creations to surprise your taste buds. You’ll love the sprinkled ice creams, creative variations of the traditional “colonels”. Add to this an impeccable wine list that ranges from small, dapper wines in carafe to the great wines of Bordeaux and Bourgogne. Don’t forget the cocktails lovingly prepared by the in-house mixologist.
Counters
Le chocolat and Le café Alain Ducasse
Good news for coffee and chocolate lovers! They will find at Champeaux two counters of the Manufactures d’Alain Ducasse: the Comptoir du Chocolat with its bars, candies, spreads and chewy bars, and the Comptoir du Café to discover exceptional vintages and exclusive blends roasted in Paris, available in beans, ground or in capsules.
